We absolutely loved our time at Guinevere, and everyone was raving about the beautiful venue and peaceful surroundings. The staff were incredibly helpful, warm and accommodating, making our retreat feel even more special.

We had the most beautiful stay , the house is really spectacular. And so charming . Spacious for a group of friends of 20 and more . .. 🥰.. we laughted , we danced . Fantastic group stay for Tulbagh Christmas in Winter

We stayed at Guinevere Guest Farm for the weekend while attending the Tulbagh Christmas in Winter Festival, and it was a fantastic experience. We were a group of around 10 couples, and the property was perfect for us.

It is spacious, well maintained, and very convenient for a large group getaway. There is someone on the property who assists with cleaning, supplies wood, and helps where needed, which made the stay easy and comfortable. The property can sleep up to 32 people, so it is a great option for family gatherings, groups of friends, or special weekends away.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Guinevere Guest Farm to anyone looking for a large, relaxed and well-equipped place to stay in Tulbagh.

Booked this gorgeous spot in August 2025 for my 30th birthday in May 2026, and with one of the biggest storms the Western Cape has seen in years, we almost had to cancel the party just TWO days before 😭

But Illze and the owner knew how excited I was for this massive celebration, and they truly went above and beyond to make it work. They managed to get the roads fixed within 2 days, and somehow we still partied all weekend with solar electricity, generators, hot water from Saturday onwards, and honestly… you would barely have known the chaos that had happened days before.

The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and HUGE — all en-suite with fireplaces, balconies, and stunning bathrooms.

Honestly, if you are looking for a BIG house with absolutely everything you need:

🔥 Braai areas
🛋️ Multiple lounges
💦 Dam + nearby waterfall
⛰️ Breathtaking mountain views everywhere you look

…then BOOK THIS SPOT.

And Tulbagh itself is honestly one of the most gorgeous little towns.

We had the most unbelievable weather all weekend too — sunshine, no wind, and perfect mountain views after all the stress leading up to it ☀️

I genuinely didn’t want to leave. Already planning to come back for my 40th… although hopefully much sooner because that feels VERY far away

Iconic Villa in the most spectacular setting against the backdrop of the mountains in Tulbagh. One truly feels transported to a Villa in Tuscany! Densly planted lemon trees bearing ripe fruit embrace the Villa, along with abundant bougainvillea, lavender, mature olive trees and stately conifers. The accommodation is on a grand scale offering a multitude of spacious bedrooms en-suite situated mostly on an upper gallery offering private balconies & surrounding a beautiful central courtyard.
Rustic and relaxed indoor and outdoor dining and living areas are plentiful and comfortably furnished. A vast extremely well equipped kitchen open plan to the dining and living area and opening up to an alfresco dining area as well, is enough to make any foodie, aspiring chef or home cook giddy with excitement! Friendly, unobtrusive staff are available to efficiently lend a hand if required, with any cleaning up operations.
An absolutely perfect setting which can accommodate about 20+ people in the main Villa very comfortably. Ideal for any celebration, special event or a large family or friend gathering.

Best wedding venue ever! From the super friendly staff to the BEAUTIFUL surroundings, there is no better place to get married.

We had our wedding here in April 2026. The guests raved about this location, the amenities and the farm house itself. It has a lot of character and rustic charm with stunning bedrooms, pool area with the best view, deck and so much more! Thanks to Ilze and the on site team (Emily, James specifically) for making the stay so memorable! I hope to be back in the future and would love to stay for a week at least!

What a memorable place to stay... My fiancee and I got married here with our immediate families only, and it was a truly fantastic place to have our wedding and also spend four quality nights together.

From the spacious rooms, to the amazing pool area, it is a place that just keeps on giving. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is planning an intimate (or not) wedding, or is planning a getaway for a group of people.
