We recently held our wedding at Guinevere Guest Farm, and we could not be more pleased with how it turned out! The venue is stunning, with the perfect intimate setting. The house itself is secluded so you do not need to worry about bothering anyone around you or shutting the party down early. The lawns are immaculate, and the decor inside the house makes it so special. The rooms are clean and tidy and were done up beautifully for all of our guests. Everyone was extremely comfortable. Views from the rooms were stunning and the upstairs chill area was perfection. The staff are WONDERFUL and extremely helpful. They make sure everything is perfect for your weekend and really care about you and your guests having the best time with zero stress - huge shoutout to Ilze, Marko, and Emily! Plus, the venue is pet-friendly! Our little dog had the best time safely running around exploring. Overall, I would STRONGLY recommend Guinevere Guest Farm for your special day or even just a weekend away. We can't wait to go back in winter with some friends to light all of the gorgeous fireplaces.

A Dream Wedding Venue – A Hidden Gem in Tulbagh

When searching for our wedding location, we dreamed of finding a house where our families from abroad could stay over, allowing us to blend, bond, and celebrate our union over an entire weekend. While I had always imagined getting married in Tuscany, Italy, we stumbled upon this breathtaking villa, hidden on top of a hill in Tulbagh, and it felt like Italy had been brought to us.

The views of the villa and its surroundings were absolutely stunning. The rooms were incredibly spacious, each with a gigantic bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the magnificent Tulbagh mountains. The pool and facilities? Simply wow! Words can’t describe how amazing they were. Even with 32 people staying at the venue, it never felt crowded, there was so much space that you could easily get lost.

Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The entire property was spotless, with little touches like beautifully arranged towels with flowers. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The manager and her team were exceptionally accommodating, always greeting us with warm smiles and ensuring we had everything we needed for both the weekend and the wedding day.

We braaied, swam, danced, and had the most intimate and magical wedding. The quad where we held our reception was straight out of a dream. If you're looking for a hidden gem to celebrate an intimate wedding, a birthday, or a special gathering, look no further, this is the place!

I had the pleasure of hosting my yoga & martial arts retreat at this breath-taking venue. The whole experience was fantastic, Ilze was so accomodating and resposive leading up to the event. The staff working there that weekend were subtle yet effective. I had the pleasure to meet Emily. They kept everything clean but we hardly saw anyone we had the whole place to ourselves!
The views and the rooms are complete luxury and my guests have all mentioned in their feedback that the venue was a big highlight of theirs. The atmosphere is so peaceful & serene - absolutely perfect for a retreat. The pool area is stunning, yoga studio has the most magical light coming through the curtains and every room was unique in its decor. Oh and relaxing on the swing beds in the courtyard was my favourite thing to do after meals. There is honestly sooooo much more I could say I couldnt even do it justice to fit it in here all I can say is a huge heartfelt thank you to the staff and organisers.

It was such a smooth and seamless experience and I would definitely host another event here again.

Guinevere guest farm is the most incredible getaway. I’ve been 4 times and I will most certainly be a guest again soon. I highly recommend this gem. The staff are so very helpful, the rooms are incredible, the pool is magic and all in all - 10 out of 10

We were a group of 35+ people and had a fantastic weekend at Guinevere. Kids were playing around, fishing, and exploring whilst the parents had some much-needed relaxation around the wood-fired hot tub with freshly made pizza in the pizza oven on the outside terrace. Rooms were spacious, everything we needed was there, and all were in close proximity to the local tourist stops which included wine farms, hiking trails, and the local waterfall.
We would definitely recommend Guinevere Guest Farm.

We had our 2 day wedding celebration with 24 of our dearest family members. We all left Guinevere absolutely in-love with it, we still talk about it. Thank you for the beautiful venue and friendly staff.

Hands down one of the best places we have ever stayed!!!!

Only 1.5 hrs from Cape Town, its hard to believe such paradise exists.
The house is massive! The photos do not show just how much space is available. Every bedroom is big and super comfortable with its own ensuite. The kitchen has everything you need to cater for the number of guest this property can accomodate, with the extra bonus of lovely staff who come and clean every morning.
The grounds have a lovely big green lawn, deck with hot tub, braai area and pizza oven, literally what more could you ask for!
We will be coming back every year, it was just spectacular, we loved loved loved our stay!!!

We had the best experience hosting our wedding at Guinevere! The area and the house is absolutely beautiful, even more than what can be seen on the pictures! We had the best stay, with the swimming pool and the amazing rooms, our guests really enjoyed themselves! It was delightful working with Ilze, Marko and Emily - Ilze was so helpful during the planning, answering all my questions quickly and helping us to get everything done over a distance! Marko and Emily were extremely helpful during our stay, nothing was too big or small for them to help us with! Would definitely recommend Guinevere to anyone!!
